Open Question: How to lose leg muscle?(im a guy btw)?

So basically long story short. Im 16 started crew as coxswain. Started gymnastics and working out with team on crew. Now i have big legs but dont want nor need them. I am trying to get more competitive with break dancing, gymnastics, and free running. Extra weight slows you down. I cant run much because i have bad knees so i reserve things that are bad for my knees for things that are fun gymnastics, breakdancing, and free running.
Will swimming make me gain leg mass or will it help slim them because its cardio and doesn’t use much legs?
