Basically, there are two things that make a person fat : too much input and too little output. Input equals food intake and output equals exercises (activities). So the more you eat and the less you exercise will result in you getting fat.
There are of course other reasons like genetics, medical conditions etc, but basically, the main reason for people being fat is eating too much junk food and not exercising enough.
People love to eat and seldom have time to plan their meals properly. I’m sure you have your cravings too. That’s ok but it is the bingeing and over eating that will get you into overweight troubles. Add to that a tendency to lead a relaxing, sedentary lifestyle and you have a formula for obesity disaster.
Worst still, if your family has a history of obesity, then you definitely have to watch your weight even more.
Here are just some quick tips to keep your weight down :-
1. Avoid junk food at all costs. Your excuses are you don’t time to cook or eat a good meal and hey, you love those burgers. But think about it : what’s more important, your life or your cravings?
2. Have a weight loss goal. This is to help you focus your thoughts about losing weight and not get sidetracked. A goal can be as simple as not eating junk food this month, losing 1 kg this month or going for the evening jog thrice a week.
3. Don’t try a strict diet because it won’t work. Eat but eat in moderation.
